BREAKING: Two major security incidents have rocked Australia within hours of each other today.

In Sydney, a 39-year-old man has been arrested after deliberately ramming his vehicle through the gates of the Russian Consulate in Woollahra. The car crashed into the diplomatic compound and drove directly to the Russian flag before police apprehended the driver.

Local residents reported hearing an “almighty crash” as the security gates were breached. Police have cordoned off Fullerton Street while investigations continue into the motive behind this attack on diplomatic property.

Meanwhile in Melbourne, over 50 neo-Nazi extremists dressed in black stormed Camp Sovereignty, a sacred Indigenous burial site representing 38 Aboriginal clans. The violent assault occurred immediately following an anti-immigration rally, leaving four Indigenous protesters injured, with one woman requiring hospitalization.

Neo-Nazi leader Thomas Sewell was reportedly among the attackers who violated this site that has served as a symbol of Indigenous resistance since 2006.

Both incidents underscore growing concerns about extremist violence in Australia. Russian diplomatic properties have faced increasing targeting globally, while far-right groups continue escalating attacks against marginalized communities.

Police investigations are ongoing for both incidents, though no arrests have been made in the Melbourne attack despite clear evidence of assault.
